When we got back, there were some new neighbors on an old trawler down the dock. They were a young couple with kids. They had kind of taken over the docks with clothes and other junk all over the docks, add to this the kids riding bikes on the dock to fishing poles blocking the walkways. I mentioned this to our dockmaster, who had a talk with these new renters. Things have improved with the dock at least cleaned up.

Our other big issue of the week was dealing with the concern about Hurricane Erin. I heard one media weather person comment, “Hurricanes are 80% worrisome and 20% concerning.” We were in the worry part and fortunately never got to the concerned part. Fortunately, the storm stayed well off to sea, and the only issue we had was some rain and high water levels. When the water gets too high here in the marina, they shut the power off to the docks to prevent the wiring from getting wet and shorting out. Because of this, we felt like we were back at anchor without shore power for a couple of nights. Temperatures were not high, so sleeping without air conditioning was not a real issue.

The rest of the week was spent doing some organizing and listing old boat parts for sale on eBay. I also got back to work on my writing and YouTube projects. I am looking forward to getting some new content going and making some new videos. Teresa spent much of her time doing work for her online clients. Now that we are back in our home berth, it is time to make some extra money to fund the cruising kitty. Next week I will try to get going on some boat projects as well.
